I developed a love of art at a very young age and, throughout my life, that love never faded. However, as I grew up and life happened, other priorities and interests pushed art aside. Retired now with life a bit slower and a little more available time, I'm back exploring this passion. I'm especially happy to showcase art from my dear friend and partner in artistic chaos, Carolina Gonzalez (Carolinasart.com)
My art would probably be referred to as mixed media; however, I use mainly acrylic paint and various techniques on canvas, fabric, wood and glass , many with embelishments utilizing clay, beads, crystals, etc. and many of my paintings are mounted on wood for that rustic look. I never know when a new idea may creep up on me and I'm never afraid to dive into it, using ALMOST anything that looks interesting.
As a native Texan and free spirit, I have always appreciated the western lifestyle and the rich colors found in its landscapes and many cultures. I love creating items for home decor that we typically see in ranch homes or anyplace that embraces beautiful colors and warmth of this style of art. It can find a place in just about any home if one chooses to be a free spirit like me.
